Listen

Listen,
To the song here in my heart
A melody I've start
But can't complete

Listen, to the sound from deep within
It's only beginning
To find release

Oh,
the time has come
for my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside and turned
Into your own
all cause you won't
Listen....

[Chorus]
Listen,
I am alone at a crossroads
I'm not at home, in my own home
And I tried and tried
To say whats on my mind
You should have known
Oh,
Now I'm done believin you
You don't know what I'm feelin
I'm more than what, you made of me
I followed the voice
you gave to me
But now I gotta find, my own..

You should have listened
There is someone here inside
Someone I'd thought had died
Sooo long ago

Oh I'm free now and my dreams to be heard
They will not be pushed aside on words
Into your arms
All cause you won't
Listen...

[Chorus]

I don't know where I belong
But i'll be movin on
If you don't....
If you won't....

LISTEN!!!...
To the song here in my heart
A melody I've start
But I will complete

Oh,
Now i'm done believin you
You dont know what I'm feelin
I'm more than what, you made of me
I followed the voice, you think you gave to me
But now I gotta find, my own..
my own...

Dreamgirls... the movie

Last night's event was fun fun fun and left me liking the album even more. What was really hilarious was the lip-sync-ing of the song "one night only" and the impeccable precision by the organiser's staff who pulled the sheets of paper with lyrics one after another. The dance remix of the song left me listening to it over and over agian today.

The monsters are back in my house for the once in a year reunion dinner this evening but I just had steamboat yesterday (and two weeks ago)... darn...

Can't wait for the movie to be screened!

Pushed around

In one of my previous post, i commented on the suspension of some civil service exchange programme by the thai government following CNN's interview with Thaksin in Singapore. Interestingly, Thaksin went on to Japan and gave TIME magazine an interview. I'm not the least surprised that that thai government obviously did not (dare) to voice any objections with the japanese government. Not that i'm being extremely nationalistic here but i'm just pissed with the way our so-called neighbours keep pushing us around. In another episode in "shoving-the-tiny-red-dot", malaysia's johor accused singapore of causing the floods that happened in the recent month. They claimed, the flood happened due to the changing of shorelines and sea currents due to singapore's land reclamation projects in pulau tekong etc. All these in spite of the fact that the water studies done by both sg and msia concluded that the projects have little or no effect at all to water drainage around that area. Thankfully, there are people in the malaysian capital that disputed johor's findings, one of which was surprisingly the FM. Media in malaysia however, continued on a finger pointing exercise with reports without any scientific backing.

When faced with such accusations, we have always been rationale and refute with evidence. The nationalistic card is a dangerous one to play. Thailand's post-coup government, with their internal problems yet unsolved and capital bombings which was (just) suspected to be linked to the unrest in the south (not thaksin) and failing economy, needs to be extremely careful when playing the nationalistic card. (And then there's the soccer incident, which i'm not at all interested.)
